How to make a recycle crayon heart is a great use of all those crayons you have laying around the house, preschool, or classroom. I have had this project on hand for a few years now and so happy that I took the time to do it! My children and I sat down one Saturday afternoon and unraveled some crayons we had and filled a silicon bake tray about half way full.
- Silicone Baking Dish
- Remove paper from crayon
- Break crayons into pieces and add to the silicon baking dish
- Fill each container about 1/2 full with crayon pieces
- Preheated Oven 230
- Bake for 20 minus (be sure to check to see if the crayons have completely melted
Let cool until crayons harden, and peel out of tray. The silicon tray helps to peel the recycled crayon out of the tray versus breaking it to get it out of the pan. This is a fun and easy craft to recycle the thousands of crayons you have laying around the house. The recycle heart is a great size for little hands and coloring!
